Your Dance

Choosing a song and style of dance comes down to what you feel most comfortable with. These days the traditional Bridal Waltz is often not a waltz at all. From Salsa to swing and Rock 'n Roll to Rumba, the dance you choose will be depend on 2 main factors.
1) The dance you actually want to do because of the style of music you like, or
2) The song you have chosen suits a certain dance style.

Many couples have 'a song'. From the moment they met, this song has been their theme song. But not all couples have 'a song'.
Some couples have a particular dance style or music style they like and choose their dance accordingly.

But more often than not, I have couples who are not really sure about what they want... and that is totally fine. My suggestion is to keep your ears open to the radio and have a search through your music collections for a few songs that you both feel would be suitable. Do you want something soppy and romantic? Playful? Funny?

Below is a list of dances I teach and some suggestions for songs to use for your wedding dance. If you are unsure of what these dance styles are, my best suggestion is to Youtube them to see a demonstation of each of the styles.

Dance Styles

Traditional:  Modern Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz.
